Dan has dedicated his career to advising organizations on the strategic, financial, and operational challenges they face. Because of his focus on academic medicine, Dan appreciates the complexity of balancing multiple missions and aligning them across the various component entities of academic health systems. Clients value his ability to immediately understand and relate to their issues as well as the broad perspective Dan has gained by assisting top-tier institutions throughout the United States.
For more than 15 years, Dan has worked with AMCs across the country on major initiatives related to funds flow and finances, organizational design, and health system strategy. Dan’s work often focuses on establishing and/or strengthening partnerships between teaching hospitals, faculty physicians, and schools of medicine to drive the financial success of the AMC at large. In addition, Dan has an in depth understanding of the unique finances of faculty group practices (FGPs), having served as the interim CFO for several FGPs over the past decade. He also speaks and writes frequently on issues concerning academic healthcare organizations.
